What should I expect during and after Lumecca?During the treatment, there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca that feels like a light elastic band. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal  reactions to treatment and usually subside within a few hours. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of the pigmented spots. During the next week the pigmented lesions will then flake off. After treating vascular lesions, you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a temporary darkening of the vessel which will dissipate after a few days.

How quickly will I see Lumecca results?

Sun damage and pigmentation results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look brighter and more even toned, with most visible results at 1-2 weeks. For vascular treatments results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.

How many Lumecca sessions are required?

An improvement can be noted after the first session, however, multiple photo-facial sessions will improve the result. A course of 3-6 treatments would be recommended for best results. Your individual treatment regime depends on the severity of skin damage and whether you are wanting to treat pigment or vascular or both. Lumecca will require less sessions than other IPL treatments, which typically require at least 6-8 sessions to notice an improvement and potentially a lot more.

Is Lumecca suitable for all skin types?

No, Lumecca is only suitbale for skin types I-III

Can I have lumecca alongside other treatments?
Yes, combining treatments gives the best results as ageing and other skin concerns are often multi-faceted. Lumecca and Morpheus8 combined are the gold standard as pigmentation and broken capillaries resulting in an uneven complexion are just as ageing as jowls and sagging skin.
